How do people manage moral conflicts with those they care about? This project proposes an emotion-regulation framework explaining when people choose to stay silent, stand firm, or seek understanding in moral disagreements.

Modeling the language of empathy in Reddit posts

Using large-scale Reddit data, LIWC, and large language models, this project identifies how linguistic cues in support-seeking Reddit posts (e.g. emotional tone, tentativeness, and topic framing) predict how much empathy they receive.
